Braeside Real Estate – Homes & Condos For Sale

Braeside sits in the southwest end of Calgary, Alberta, Calgary, just to the north of Anderson Road. Most homes are of the single family variety, with a few low-rise apartment and condominium buildings. About 80 percent of homes are owner occupied.

Most of the neighbourhood is zoned residential but there are two convenient strip malls in the area. One is on Southland Drive and is home to Shoppers Drug Mart, some smaller retail outlets and an assortment of restaurants. The smaller mall is at the corner of Braeside Drive and 24th Street and features a few fast food outlets, including the signature Tim Horton’s, retail shops, a medical clinic and a police station.

Braeside Park is on the western end of the neighbourhood, offering baseball diamonds, playgrounds and plenty of open green space. The Braeside Elementary School is on the eastern end and John Ware Junior High School is two blocks north of Southland Drive SW, the northern border. The Southland Leisure Centre with its wave pool, rock climbing wall, and squash courts is also on Southland Drive SW.  

Canyon Meadows Golf Club is off of Anderson Road SW. The closest shopping is at the Oakridge Co-Op Shopping Centre on Southland Drive SW. The larger Southcentre Mall with its anchor stores of Sears and the Bay is a bit farther away to the east, via Anderson Road SW.
