The Evergreen neighbourhood is located on the south-western corner of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. To the north is the open expanse of Fish Creek Park and to the northeast the lightly populated Tsuu Tina reserve. The western edge borders largely undeveloped land and 162nd Ave SW frames the south. James McKevitt Rd. SW makes up the eastern border.

Evergreen is divided into two sections. Evergreen Estates is the older section, while the part known as Evergreen is the newer. Each section has its own community association. The street names govern which association presides over what section. Streets that have the world Evergreen in the name are under the jurisdiction of the Shawnee-Evergreen Community Association. Streets without “Evergreen” in the name are governed by the Evergreen Community Association. All homes in both sections are currently single family properties with nearly 99 percent being owner occupied.

Schools include Evergreen Elementary, a new branch of the Calgary Public School System for children from Kindergarten to Grade 4, Centennial High School and Our Lady of Peace Elementary Junior High School. Shoppers Drug Mart and the Shoppes of Bridlewood are along 162nd Ave SW. Golfers can tee off at the Shawnee Slopes Golf Club, north of Evergreen.
