Located in the southwest corner of Calgary, Alberta, Canada is the residential neighbourhood of Kingsland. It’s bordered on the east by the Macleod Trail SE, on the north by the Glenmore Trail SW, or Route 8, and on the south by 75th Ave SW. The western edge is framed by Elbow Dr. SW.

The land became part of the City of Calgary in 1956 with Kingsland being established one year later. Over the years it has developed into a neighbourhood with almost equal numbers of single family homes and multi-family condos and apartments. Nearly 64 percent of housing is rented out.

St Augustine Elementary Junior, a Catholic facility, is within the borders. Other schools nearby include the Henry Wise Wood Senior High and the Chinook Park Bilingual Elementary School, both Calgary Public Schools.

The Chinook Shopping Centre is just north of the Glenmore Trail. Closer shopping opportunities and a number of restaurants and services are also found along the Macleod Trail SE. Rockyview General Hospital and the Heritage Park recreation area are a few blocks to the west. Kingsland Park is an open green space in the southeast corner of the neighbourhood.
